Business champions leveraged the local referral work model for the ABS Talent Referral Network. The Talent Referral Committee created “referral guidelines” to set the parameters for the referral network. The Talent Referral Committee developed these guidelines and outcome metrics to sign on companies to the ABS Talent Referral Network, See NEW JOB POSTINGS section.
Building on the Talent Referral Committee’s project development and the ABS Industry Forum, business champions developed a comprehensive, multi-faceted branding and awareness “campaign” to market the contact center industry and encourage more local residents to choose the contact center industry. This includes outreach efforts to educate high school youth, community college students and those looking to change careers. The plan includes providing information on career pathways, high school outreach, actual and virtual tours of ABS businesses and internships.
Business champions from member companies mapped career options in the contact center industry. This involved companies working together to identify common career pathways, and the core competencies needed at each level. The Career Path Committee produced an industry-wide ABS career map that is shared with local educational institutions and systems, impacting curriculum and informing students of the career possibilities of the industry.
